Parapluie took this entry to Peer Review in 2001: A538012 (click link to see the edited version). It was picked and is now part of the edited guide. Has been for the last 7 years. There's a link to it on the Front Page at the moment.
It looks as though zendegi may have submitted this entry to AWW accidentally, being new here.

Interesting that you can do it, put Edited Guide Entries into other fora. There must be an evil prank in that somewhere.

You can't put the Edited versions in to review fora, as they are 'Not for Review' by default. The unedited versions of those same entries, however...

Perhaps we could invent a famous author, give him/her a biography and a few pieces of writing, contribute it to the edited guide and see if anyone notices.
I was amazed by the information in this entry about how much work went into the OED. And the good Dr Minor sends genuinely intriguing.
