the value of a good pair of socks is seriously underestimated these days... my socks are getting all coarse and yucky because i don't turn them right side out before i wash them. i have some really nice ones i got at a health food store back home...

I'm sorry, maybe this is just me... but I don't think I could wear socks that I bought in a health food store.

I was wondering why exactly a health food store was selling socks in the first place ...
... may be my current lethargy is due to a lack of sock in my diet?

The discussion re socks reminds her of the 11 odd socks in the airing cupboard awaiting possible reunion with partners when No1 son returns from Uni.
Also of the dirty washing and even more odd socks he will bring home with him *

the idea of health food socks is that they are made of all-natural, earth-friendly type materials. the place i got them was actually more of an 'organic grocery' than a 'health food store.' they supply a wide variety of healthy products, not limited to food. it's the best place to buy anything, if you don't mind paying a little extra. i mean, shop anywhere else, you'll just get cancer and have to make up the difference in chemotherapy bills.
