As written, this article really isn't ready for the edited guide. Here's some reasons:
1) The information on donating sperm in America is factually incorrect, and appears to based solely on anecdotal evidence. Edited Guide entries generally require sincere research.
2) The article is titled "making a living donating sperm" but the article is actually about sperm donation itself.
3) How about some info on:
* What happens when you go in to donate sperm -- is it really just like it is in the movies?
* What about the sperm banks that are just for models, just for athletes, just for geniuses, etc.?
* Where do they keep the sperm after it's donated? How long does it last? How do they decide who gets who's sperm?
* When did sperm donation first begin?

on a side note, surely it isn't donating if you're getting paid?

Surely the men are screened for HIV before donation is considered?
And how would you stop "dodgy" genes being passed on anyway?
You take that chance every time you have a child, with your own partner or with IVF.
And for lesbian partners, who may want a child, this may be their only option.
I still don't get the "make a living donating sperm" title.
"£15 per donation", twice a week hardly keeps you in footwear, walking to the clinic! Certainly not bus fares
But I can imagine these patrons taking pleasure in their work

I'd be mortally offended if you didn't - I mean, our poor squacks are very fragile, and they might crumble if they saw content as risque as this stuff...
You're going into hyperdrive recently, scoutwise...

Yeah, it's amazing what you can find to do when you're procrastinating and avoiding real work....

Editorial Note: This Conversation has been moved to the new 'Flea Market' Forum.
This is where we move any Peer Review, Writing Workshop or Alternative Writing Workshop Conversations where the original author has *not* posted to h2g2 for three months. This prevents the active Review Forums from clogging up with dormant entries, but in the Flea Market they can be picked up by others and polished off.
