Hmmmm.... try this question for size... oh wishers of harder questions...

------------------------------------------

Imagine if you will two clocks.... on a wall... both clocks say the same time... which is 6 O'Clock...

Both clocks were wound up and set off together at the same time, 12 O'Clock.

One clock loses ten minutes every hour and the other gains ten minutes every hour.

What is the correct time?

The Researcher formally known as Dr St Justin

They will both show the correct time 36 hours later, at 6 o'clock.

But I'm not sure if that's what your asking...?

Both clocks will indeed show 6.00 o'clock after 36 hours.
If you use a 24 hour clock, and they started at 12.00 at noon, it is in reality midnight.

The question, if I may, was 'What is the correct time?'

And I am reminded that in Ecclesiastes we are told there is a time to every purpose.
A time to reap, a time to sew (sow what?), a time to embrace and a time to everything under heaven.

So my answer is, 'You will know when it is the right time.'

What is the correct time?

Well, this makes a good case for "Universal Internet Time"
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A516728

However, as it says here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A304192
"..everyone has their own opinion as to what time it is."

So we're all right! Points all round please Greebo.

Well done DoctorGonzo... the answer is indeed 12 o'clock... the reason is as follows... In every hour the clocks differ by 20 minutes, in three hours by one hour. The first time that they show the same time one must be 12 hours ahead of the other. They are therefore six hours adrift from the correct time, one ahead and the other behind. The correct time is 12 o'clock, 36 hours after they were set off...

A point me thinks to DoctorGonzo...
