I have recently taken on the challenge of whacking a little ball around landscaped fields after years (all my life so far)saying,"What's the point in that?!"
I have found the point to be...fun!Yes golf is fun, I am not very good at all and do not envisage taking my father on seriously for another decade or so but it is fun. Walking in the countryside, be it real or makebelieve and hitting things with a stick and having an ultimate goal with the stick hitting thing is fun.
I can see how 'golfers' can get annoyed and worked up by bad shots but as long as they remember they're having fun they'll do okay!
