We must be Brits Mind you, there have been some major drifts in that time... snow as well as conversation
It was a blasting scorcher yesterday. 35C+
I got home at 5:15pm and it was still 30C on the balcony. The main priority upon reaching the flat was therefore to remove as many items of clothing as possible ... All four of them
Another hot one forecast today and then up to 38C tomorrow. Cooler weather coming from the south overnight Saturday.

From the mid 90s F (upper 30s C) on Wednesday to the mid 50s (low teens) on Friday - that's quite a shock to the system. I predict there will be many people with colds around these parts this time next week.

Not a breath of wind yesterday evening made the heat quite unpleasant.
Fortunately I woke to a healthy breeze this morning So whilst it's forecast to reach 36C, I can handle it as long as there's a bit of wind.
It's not exactly the wind chill factor, but you know what I mean.

Had totally erased this thread from my memory!
Hi all
It's a tad nippy, have had to put the central heating on for the second time this week.
As usual no idea of the actual temperature, hang on......dunno, the Beeb has no idea as it's about half past midnight here and they focus on daytime temps!

"It's a tad nippy, have had to put the central heating on for the second time this week."
And I've just turned the a/c off for the first time since May
Dang, it was so nice to walk home from work tonight and not arrive drenched in sweat. It's a very comfortable 61F/16C right now I do wish I'd arrived home at 1am instead of 3am though

3am? Just think of the dollars BH Sometimes it's the only way I can get through. Like working all day Saturday for instance
Very windy here now and blowing my bean plantlets to b*ggery on the balcony

I'm trying to think of the dollars FB, but when I go to sleep at 4am and then my natural body rythms wake me up at 8.30am, it's hard to think of anything at all

*Waves back to Frenchbean*
It's 8.55pm here and it's...oh, it's dark. And a bit cold. Was mild today but got colder and rainy and generally grey.
Am tucked up in bed with my laptop oo-er, totally zonked after a day's child-looking-after-ing.

2.30am and 64F/17.8C. Just perfect Except for one thing - it's that time of the year when nighttime is just too warm for a duvet but just too cold for a sheet... and that's all I've got Very nice for walking home in though.
We just made 80° today, and it looks like we'll be a little warmer tomorrow, with clear skies, then another front comes through on Monday with the possibility of some rain, but not much in the way of a drop in temps - low to mid 80s F (upper 20s C) right through the week. In fact they're forecasting a 70% chance of rain on Tuesday, possibly heavy. That's my only day off next week Better get my food shopping done on Monday I reckon. And I wanted to go see Wallace and Gromit on Tuesday too.

As I said: children
Sleep with some clothes on, but under the sheet Gosho BH?
Alternatively pack yourself in ice and sleep under the duvet

It's warmed up again, so the sheet is doing just fine again
I walked home last night in the rain Well, showers at least. The cool thing about being out in the small hours when it's dead quiet is that you can hear rain coming about 10-20 seconds before you start getting rained on, giving you time to put your brolly up. And I had mine with me Any eejit can take out an umbrella when it's raining, but it's a wise man who takes one out on a sunny day
And it there was a completely clear sky when I left for work at about 4pm The showers I was walking home in were apparently the front edge of some pretty heavy rain that dropped about an inch on Austin overnight - 1.13" at Camp Mabry and 1.02" at ABIA. More is forecast tonight and right through tomorrow, which could include thunderstorms.
So yeah, I'll be taking my Gamp to work again today
Currently 5pm and 71F/21.7. Overcast. Nothing on the central Texas radar.
