A good Entry. smiley - smiley
One thing I think is not clearly stated is where exactly in the world Buzzards live except for the UK. You mention some migrating from Russia to Africa and you say 'Elsewhere in the world' but not really where.

This is another good entry. smiley - smiley

According to my bird book, buzzards are resident over much of Western Europe.

I think they are commoner now than they were when I was young. I thought all the birds of prey suffered in the 60s, because of the effect of DDT.

I believe it was Michael Jackson who once said,

This really wasn't worth reading, was it?

"'He out-bopped the buzzard and the Oreo*'"

smiley - laugh I didn't know those lyrics even though I have heard 'Rockin' Robin' before smiley - ok An Oriole is also a fascinating bird, but one I've only seen in pictures...

Oreos are strange biscuits - much more expensive than bourbons round here, but also very different in flavour. I find the bourbon is very well balanced in chocolateyness inside and out while the Oreo is split between dark chocolate biscuit on the outside and pale cream on the inside - an experience to eat, but I prefer a bourbon...

smiley - ok
