h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Demon Drawer is sick and tired of comments being mad e about his spelling.

For those of you who don't know me I am Dyslexic, only mildly and have used this site to help improve my level of word recognition, which if any of you know a sufferer is very hard at times as often when we write or type we do not see the transposition we have made ourselves.

This is really starting to grate me the wrong way especiallly as I have come though a very hard 10 days and have in that period told my mother, father and work colleagues about my sexual orientation as well.

All the recent commenting about my spelling coming to the fore again is not helping me in the slightest and until now I felt I had the supprot of the h2g2 community now I am not so sure.

I am seriously considering whether it is worth taking any more of this abuse or not either as

a) a Prez candidate

and

b) as a researcher

This is really starting to annoy me nad some people carry it on even after I try and tell them to stop it, which is vulgar and rude as well. This is a fun campaign and picking on me in this way is no longer helping me to enjoy my time here as I like.

This is a haven for me and I have a lot of friends here, so please don't take that away from me please.

i thought i had already apologized for that spellcheck comment. well in case you didn't hear me the first time, im sorry. i'm rather crabby at being framed for kidnapping the celery, and you just happened to be at the wrong forum at the wrong time.

DD, your typing is better than mine, and I am not dyslexic as far as I know. Don't give up your candidacy, you are doing great, and you would make a good Prez (do NOT tell ANYONE I said that)

sea- i thought the kidnapping was BRILLIANT! too bad they traced your pic link though! and MUCH too bad that they were so incredibly hostile about it...

i have found that ignoring a$$es is the only way to enjoy the site. you have more than enough close friends who matter- the others will either get to know and respect you, or- like so many do- drop out of site.

DD- we have a close friend in common, and we have passed several times in the threads. I have made comments to you regarding my admiration for your work, and i repeat those now. You are much too talented to be dissuaded by critics. I believe it was Schumann (tho i may be mistaken) who was so seriously dyslexic that he couldn't write music notes. he would litterally dictate them to a scribe, and then had to have someone play them back to him so that he could edit any errors! imagine how time consuming!! imagine how irritating!! imagine what his critics must have said and the slander they would have created! "It's not his music at all- his secretary is ghost-writing it!"

but he persevered, and ignored the a$$es, and today we still have his glorious music to listen to by firelight...

Man, some mager things have been going on at H2G2 lately.
Can I join the club too?

well, i lied when i said i was going to leave for a whole month. i am WAY to addicted to H2G2 to stay away. and look 13 hours after i said i'd leave i'm back. but thank you for the support, i really meant the whole thing all in fun. i'm just sad it didn't turn out how i had hoped. perhaps someday i will attempt an encore.

the dissillusionates sounds like a really good idea... however that is spelled. i don't think it really matters.

oh yeah, and thanks to those who have stood by and supported me through the whole kidnapping fiasco. we may never have met, but you're still friends in my book...

Of course we will have you back sea, you are one of us. And if either of those two come in and an arguament ensues, I will stand by you, as, I am sure, will the rest of us. We may be evil, but we are also loyal.
