Could I please ask you to think about it *before* the need arises ... before making the decision to join the CIA? Could I maybe ask you to read the info in the link in my CIA Guide Entry? Just so you can have some idea of what those folks really do. Please?

I'll try to get more info into that entry ... it's not going to be very balanced, I'm afraid, on its own ... but you can add your current romantic idea/ideal of spy work and use my more critical approach to balance *that* if you like. If you *really* want to be a superhero and make the world better, I think there are better ways. I think we need to stop with the warmongering, and also with the being suspicious of people and fearing people and overreacting to real or perceived threats ...

Well, please do read ... to tell the truth *I* haven't read all of it yet. But I come across the name of the CIA many times in my general readings, which concern politics ... and usually it is in a rather negative context. I consider the CIA and other intelligence agencies as part and parcel of the war machinery of the powerful nations, which I love very little indeed ...
