JACK - WAS SOBER AT LUNCHTIMES (3 DAYS AND COUNTING) - FELL OFF THE WAGON- THOUGH FINDS AFTERNOON MEETINGS MORE FUN NOW. Started conversation Sep 20, 2000
Hey Goof,
long time, no see! How are you? I've been away wondering around the backwaters of Argentina for the last month. But I have finally returned. Anything interesting happened while I was away?
On a different note, do you have any idea how much Tequilla is readily available in Argentina ~grin~ In one of the towns a bottle cost the same as a bottle of Sprite!!!! The only thing I can say is the photos prove that i was there for a month, for I fear my consiouness seems to have lost half of it. Have you been good and horribly abused the absynth while I've been away? Sorry, must be off...my monkey just exploded!

Argentina! why didn't you invite me I'm so jelous that you've been top a place where the Tequila is so cheep. My collection is growing, I've got 7 different types here and looking for more. Where in Arg did you go? I never made it over there, I was the other side of the mountains in Chile. not much has changed round here but I've just got back from visiting my S.O. in Germany.
Come over to the drinks cabnet for more tequila madness (on more realistically, just madness)

*catches up by downing two absynths*
Well in awnser to your first question...no you never did tell me how old you were.
The farm in france.....Well its in normandy and I was over there before arg. helping with the harvest. My father lives there and it is absolutely beautiful there, the nearest village is seven miles away so its very peaceful. The house, we recently discovered(or at least the orginal part of it) dates from 1786 which is quite interesting, My father was really quite shocked as he had no idea it was that old.
Argentina...well we travelled all over, we started and finished in B.A. but other than that it was mainly travelling we went and stayed in a village in the rain forrest up north for a week which was really interesting...And we trecked through the mountains the week before leaving which was rather grueling, as we had rather unfortunately misjudged our rations and ever so slightly ran out of food with two days to go...not fun..but we got back in the end, which brings me to the other fantastic thing about arg..... the steaks they are huge!!! and sooooo lovely, they are all ranched catle so its nothing like steak back home, and there is nothing like a minor case of starvation to make you sell your soul for a giant and infinately cheap hunk of cow.
As for absynth...I wasn't even aware that it was illegal in france!...Why is that?
Questions awnsered...what exactly did you do last night?! I had dinner with my mother and my aunt and uncle who are over from New Zealand and Australia respectively. And it was in point of fact an awful lot more fun than i expected it to be. Incedentally could you help me? I'm not entirely sure how to get my classic goo badge to work. How do I go about posting one up...when awnsering this please bear in mind I know less about computers than manuel does so be gentle and yes...you do need to state the obvious... my knowledge only streatches to keyboard...screan...thats it.

Well I'm here and there most days (but only between 6pm and midnight and not constantly) and normally up for a couple of drinks and a chat unless I'm out IRL and drinking for real
The most important lesson to learn when travelling is take half the clothes than you think you'll need and twice as much food
If you need to get a classic goo button to work then you can visit Mina here >> http://www.h2g2.com/A362828
There are soem instructions there that should help but if you've still got problems then let me know.

Hey Goof, just noticed, what happened to the name? am I just going slowly mad or are you now the artist formaly known as Goof?
I am, on a completely unrelated note, in serious amounts of pain...I had rugby training last night and our coach decided that we were not fit enough in relation to the advancement of the season and decided to illustrate his point by attempting agrevated manslaughter.
Everything hurts..it hurts to breathe, to walk to sit to lie...I just can't get away from it. I know I'm wingeing but it really is quite painful and as a result I am in a bad mood which cannot be good...and it rained for the whole of the training session...horrible damp rain at that...On top of all of this .....wait for it....my car decided to break down so It took me two hours to get home. Stinking evening, so my flat mate and I got drunk and i now have a hang over which has resulted in a stinking morning and just a general horrible 24 hours....Sorry am going to RL drinks cabinet now...will come back later for a chat when I'm a bit cheeryier (i have no idea how to spell that)
See you soon
Rosie

Hi,
The name changed because I got killed in a forum somewhere and am (for once) obaying the laws of cross forum continuity. I used to play a lot of Rugby, second row. What position do you play
I still maintain that I did tell you my age (or at least leave a simple puzzle to work out) I'm not in the mood to type and I have to go to see a friend who has just got back from Jamaca with presents for me but I'll be around another time.
For now, work is easy and the money is good (must be some mistake) social life is pretty dull but I've got a birthday drinking session and curry fest set for Saturday. Can't wait.
Take care back soon
Dr GL
