"From the Land of Green Ghosts" by Pascal Khoo Thwe
( A Burmese Odyssey)

A very moving account of the life of a young Burmese man, from his tribal beginnings, through the uprisings in Burma, to life at Cambridge University.

It gives a very personal insight in to the troubles from a young man more recently educated in the UK. Get hold of it if you can, I think it will interest you.
