h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Yes I'm back again, again, agin. This time... well I'm still online at the library but I don't have to spend all my online time househunting so hopefully I can spend a little more time on here. An exciting (actually it's quite dull, but it's all a learning curve isn' it) new post sumbission is fizzing it's way to the team and... well I wouldn't run with it if I were them, but you never know, October might be a slow months for stuff. Let's wait and see.

Life goes well here, both still in good health and working our 'ahems' off for a wage. Sadly, I find myself now in a uniform of sorts again and marching on occasion. Our local chapter of the Air Force Association of Canada

Bel; I see you've removed a load of your friends. Am I one of the honoured few or did you just drop in? In any case I was going to drop by and say I don't blame you, I can't keep up with your journals, much less half a dozen different ones. How are you otherwise?

L'il; Fat chance. We moved out of a place where we were given permission to keep pets because the freehold did not permit pets. When we moved into this place we asked A LOT if it was okay to keep pets. Okay with the Landlord? Okay with the Freeholder? Well apparently not, but we're signed up for a year at least so we'll see how it develops. How are you?

Nick; Does this involve any sort of formal duties Nick or is it just a ceremonial thing? I think I've already asked you how you are, but for form's sake- how are you?

benjamin, I had removed all my friends for a while, but I missed the journals, so I put them all back - I may have forgotten a few, though.

It is an association similar to many "Legion" things, but specifically for people who serve or have served any of our air element allies. It is a good social place for like minded folks, contributes a fair bit to the community as a service club, and with our own Colours party and a pipe and drum band, participate in many parades in the region. A few weeks ago, I joined them marching in the Warriors Day Parade at the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) in Toronto. Today was the opening of our town's annual Scottish/Irish Festival, much to the amusement of our Sergeant-At-Arms. Being from east London, after some time in the RAF, he also served in the RCAF. Next week is a large affair in memory of the Battle of Britain.

I'm sorry you still haven't been able to find suitable accommodation that will allow you to have pets. I wouldn't know what it would be like not to have my cats.

Thanks L'il, good to hear you're getting better. Loosing the animals is not an option, we'll find somewhere, eventually. I am still hoping, Bel, that it will work out where we are. We are having a heat exchnage fitted to the boiler today, which means we get hot water as an anniversary present, which is very exciting.
Nick- I see there is a another message in our other conversation, so I will read and reply to that.
