I'm a big Detritus fan myself. Especially in Men At Arms and Feet of Clay.

My faves are Rincewind & the luggage "stercus stercus mortious sum!", the bursar "And now I must fly, except that I must not." , Carrot and Anuga, "She [Angua] vaugely suspected that Carrot was trying to court her. But, instead of the usual flowers or chocolate, he seemed to be trying to gift wrap a city.", and the beggar crew
"I hate bloody Golems, takin' our jobs..."
"We ain't got jobs."
"See what I mean?"
"What's for supper?"
"Mud and ole boots HRRaawrk ptui!"
"Millennium hand and and shrimp I sez."
"'M glad I've got a voice. I can speak up for myself."
"It's time you fed your duck."

Cohen the Barbarian, and all the Silver Horde. Best named minor character is Hodgesaargh, incompetent Lancre castle falconer. I also find Nanny Ogg strangely compulsive? Perhaps it's her cooking?

I bear an eery resemblance to Rincewind, minus the beard and the box with legs. I have a mardy dragon instead.

Yeah Detritus gives me warm fuzzy feelings, but Greebo has to be one of my favorites.Hehehehe! The way his mind works is classic.
One of my favourite lines is when Granny asks Sean (I think,Nannys oldest)Ogg the black smith how it was that he could tame the wildest of horses. He told her "Will I gets them by the head and I whispers in their ears 'Any trouble from you and I'll have thy goolies on the anvel and thou knows I can'.Not quoted prefectly but I dont have the book with me at the moment.

I like Vimes. I think that it is at the start of Guards! Guards! when he deals with the assassination attempts. Fantastic.

I like a cold Detritus as well as Cheery Littlebottom. No votes for the Patrician? he IS the man and we have interesting ways of proving it,...

I like The Patrician (Havelock) a lot.
He is (usually) well in control of things and understands people so very well. Always learning and staying one step ahead of the game and with a cutting, cunning wit to go with it. I sometimes wonder who PTerry models him on, any ideas?

I deffinately think that the Patrician should have a story to himself, maybe where he gets kidnapped?
