...I'm reminded of a friend, a navy seal, SOF, said he been captured, tortured, but he never cried, until he passed a kidney stone... ...then it happened to me, passed a kidney stone, July 14, 2007...

Of course female have to go through something like that once a month.

Somehow they get used to it.

I have a female friend (no, really, it's true!) who often passes kidney stones, and from how she reacts I'm quite convinced that menstrual pain doesn't hold a candle to passing a stone. smiley - yikes

My own kidney stone, July 2007, was accompanied by the worst gout pains I'd had in more than 20 years, as nothing compared to the gout of blood produced by the stone.

I went into shock.

I fainted.

Family called an ambulance.

The stone apparently provided the nucleus of the bladder stone I had removed surgically May 2017.

The scar still shows on X-rays and sonograms of the kidney, about 9 mm.
