A Conversation for Werewolves

Werewolves under discrimination

Why are we werewolves always made to look bad? Blame it all on the media! Books, games, cartoons, movies & even Japanese Animes are portraying werewolves as EVIL. They even go as far as making vampires, our sworn enemies, as the good guys! Look at the Japanese Anime series "Trinity Blood". Some vampires are good, some are evil. All werewolves are bad. & "Underworld", that 1-sided movie portraying vampires as heroes & werewolves as villains. It's a CONSPIRACY!!!! I'm not surprise if some high-powered government agents are actually vampires. Try to get this into your minds. Werewolves are forces of NATURE. Vampires are forces of DARKNESS. Do you really like the Evil/Dark side, or do you hate nature so much?smiley - starsmiley - moon

smiley - starWhile good guys are busy saving the world. While vampires go blood-hunting, werewolves & other lycanthropies go evil-hunting.

To think that werewolves only feed on human flesh is utterly unlogical. Clearly, a werewolf is a person who takes on a wolf's form. So, logically, that person will have a wolf's traits. What are wolves' traits?
[1] Sticking together in packs? Yes.
[2] Fighting back when threatened? Yes.
[3] Attacking humans relentlessly? NO! (Wolves tend to stay away from humans.)
[4] Eating people? NO! NO! NO! (Sure, they have been cases where wolves attack humans, but they didn't eat them. & they always have a reason for attacking.)
[5] Protecting their family, relatives & friends? Yes.

So if a normal wolf won't attack & eat a person, what makes people think that a werewolf might? It's pure stupidity. Don't believe everything you see/hear from religious tales & ancient histories. To say that a female werewolf transforms into a wolf to eat her own children is plain IMBECILIQUE.smiley - fullmoon

In modern fiction the reason Werewolves typically attack humans is that:

a) most of the time they are human so change amoungst humans, hungry.

b) Werewolves both intelligent and unintelligent see themselves as superior - they typically are huge and dangerious, making humans less than them - prey.

Wolves are scared of us like most major predators are. A pride of lions in the wild will scatter at the approach of humans. They learnt long ago at the time man started making weapons that we are dangerious and this is passed down as a part of their learned behaviour. Wolves are no doubt the same. There are exceptions, animals that become "man killers" or bigger predators like Bears and Tigers. Typically the weapons of man have little affect on werewolves so what do they have to fear?

(A) To say that their become hungry again after transformation (even after eating as humans) is scientifically illogical. Even when parts of their body tissue have change the food they have consumed won't disappear. It takes severals hours to fully digest a single meal.

(B) If you thinks that we werewolves are snobs who look down at humans as inferior creatures destined to be our main source of food, YOU'RE WRONG! Those are vampire traits. Werewolves are too busy with with their Guardianship issues to make human snacks, if interested at all.

smiley - starAnyway, this is way off the topic. My main discussion is about how the populace treats the imagery of werewolves. More & more media (novels, storybooks, cartoons, games, movies, etc.) are beginning to portray VAMPIRES as the Good Guys, Heroes even. This may be true for natural vampires but not the dark ones. It would be good if they portray werewolves as the Good Guys, too. But they didn't! Instead more & more media are making werewolves seem evil, linking them with sorcery, satanism & paganism, describing them as brainless & uncivilised killing machines. The church even went as far as saying that werewolves are demons from Hell in disguise. That's my main concern. WEREWOLVES ARE BEING DISCRIMINATED!

Please tell me, have there ever been any werewolf heroes?smiley - fullmoon

I'm not wrong, we just have a difference of opinion.

The only truely "good" werewolf I have seen in films was Van Helsin at the end of that film.

smiley - starThat's what I mean. There's hardly any werewolf hero & so many vampire heroes. Doesn't it make you think that there's some kind of conspiracy behind it.smiley - fullmoon

Theres no higher conspiracy, just the public's appitite for certain films and stories had lead that way in the storys written.

The way it has been looked at in rpgs where they classify things like Vampires and Werewolves they tend to go along the following lines:

Vampires are "Evil" due their selfish desires and amorality. But they are also "Lawful" not the laws of the land, but are usually a member of a covern or strict secret society or have their own code of honour.

Werewolves are "Neutral" like all animals and most people, this means they are neither good nor evil. They don't generally behave for autruistic reasons nor to the detriment of all. They are however "Chaotic" and tend to do what they want, when they want regardless of any law, culture or tradition.

smiley - starThat's the point. Werewolves are 'neutral' just as Nature is 'neutral'. Yet there are ignorant 'people' out there who judge them only by one side, the BAD side. There're people like these all the time. If werewolves are EVIL by nature just because they have attacked other creatures (humans included), then that basically means that all carnivores (lions, foxes, eagles, sharks, snakes, frogs, etc) are EVIL as well. Does that mean that Nature is EVIL because it let Hurricane Catrina destroy homes & took away lives, let tsunamis wreak havoc throughout the world, let volcanos erupt, etc? Those who say that "All werewolves & their kin are EVIL," think that Nature is EVIL.

Oh, & such conspiracies do exist. Why do you think that most vampires are aristocratic & wealthy, while most werewolves are poor peasants?smiley - fullmoon

So what about Sgt Angua of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, in Terry Pratchett's Discworld books? She's definitely no bad guy.

smiley - star There's a large difference between FICTION & SUPERNATURAL. However, it is possible that the offspring of a vampire & a mortal (woman) would produce a child with vampiric powers but lacking the need of drinking blood to survive & has no vampiric weaknesses. This child, known as a Dhampir, can see & kill invisible vampires. A subject of literal heroes, no doubt. They are GOOD ones, & they're BAD ones. Sgt Angua is definitely a GOOD Dhampir.smiley - fullmoon

So why would the mortal have to be female? smiley - huh

smiley - star Because only a mortal woman can give birth to a vampire/human offspring. If the father was human but the mother was vampiric, then the resulting offspring would be an ordinarry vampire.smiley - fullmoon

smiley - star The problem is that humans too quickly refer something that has an animal's characteristics as EVIL. This kind of thinking is similar to the "All Aliens are Evil" syndrome. & since these humans share the same "Portray all Aliens as Evil" kind of thinking, they will do their part to make everyone else share their belief that all animals (& wereanimals) are EVIL. Hence the millions of electronic (computer & console) games that portray animals as enemies & ask the players to kill them. It's like teaching kids to hate & kill animals, resulting in the existence of animal murderers in later years to come. Take some time to think & remember how many games there have been that ask the players to kill the so-called EVIL animals. & the movies, almost every movie that star a human who has animal traits or has the ability to transform into an animal would show that these creatures are EVIL, DANGEROUS & MUST BE DESTROYED. These negative thinking gives birth to the belief that any creature that has animal traits is EVIL. This includes werewolves, kitsune_s, nekomata_s, minotaurs & all other wereanimals. Just look at all those crap stories. The Goat Boy, who (they say) eats campers & forest rangers in the woods. Do goats eat flesh?! Same goes for the Minotaur. They say that a werewolf must drink human blood or die. Ludicurous! I would shout "Aaah!" at the 1st sight of blood. & I WON'T TOUCH IT, even if you gave me a thousand bucks (money, not deers). Then, there's The Beast of Gevaudan. The Beast wasn't even a werewolf. It was really either a demon in disguise of a wolf to fool humans or a wolf possesed by a demon. & all those stories about fox-spirits & cat-spirits stealing humans' chi (lifeforce) are all CRAP! & most dragons are GOOD.

Animals & wereanimals are part of the Grand Design. They're part of Nature. They're part of this world. This world is part of Nature. Those who hate animals & wereanimals hate Nature. These imbeciles are Anti-Nature, & therefore do not deserve to live in this world. If they want to live in a place where they are no animals & wereanimals then they should leave Earth & find another planet to live on.smiley - fullmoon
