Ok so where have I been for 10 days.
Mostly with Fashion Cat
Wednesday 27th September: Arrive at Gatwick Airport having circled a number of times. Darn Pilot for flying too fast. Arrived to be greeted by Fashion Cat a pair of crutches and a cast on her right foot, the additions were not there the last time I saw her at Waverley Station. So we proceed to her new house in Docklands, not a bad address for a student to have. Get greeted by a mad Scottish women (her mother) with a big hug in the middle of the street, then meet Paul one of her housemates inside.
Go for a Pizza at One Canada Square, ie the main Canary Wharf complex for lunch having sorted out the Estate Agents and a few teething problems it was fun to watch FC's mum was at times very agitated and others full of Scottish charm don't think the poor wee lassie on the other side of the desk knew what had hit her. Shopped at ASDA got all the essentials Wine, oh and some food, then took FC's mum over to Kings Cross for the 1900 Edingburgh Train. Have a pint at the Station and then head back to the house. Eat and watch Blackadder II with Paul. Who then goes to bed so we stick on the second tape and get chatty over the wine. And then I kissed her, no mistaking that, and she kissed back , no mistaking that either. However she dicided that we would have to sleep on it, to be sure.
Thursday 28th Called Smiley Ben and arranged for us to meet him for Lunch at Canary Wharf. Had a good meal then proceeded into the West End with Ben in tow to hunt down Cream Buns to take to the Towers later, unfortunately the nice bakery I knew was no longer there. So had a frantic seach for anything to appease the people I torment regulary
Found some nice eats and proceeded to the Towers. Went up in the lift which sadly lacked Genuine People Personality a bit of a let down. But was soon amended when Abi gave me a big hug as I exited the lift and apolgosed for Mark and Peta being sick. Introduced FC to the rest of the Editorial team before Abi gave us a tour. *applauds Abi for stepping into Peta's role so admirably* Then Crusader made the tea/coffee to go with the buns before Sam appeared and asked all of us with full mugs could he get us all a drink.
Sat at Marks desk, or should that be stage, and wrote my journal entry from the towers. Ben mentioned Aardvarks a little bit of a 'sore' point between me and Crusader, which we joked off. Then left with Abi for drinks at Porterhouse nearby. Highlight was Abi asking me if there were any relationships she should know about on site and me denying everything while FC was trying not to crack up.
Then she left as someone was coming to view her flat and we went for a Chinese in Chinatown. Following which me and FC had a good chat and dedided we could be together, and went through all the qualms about how it might end the friendship and how we'd try our best for that not to happen.
Arrived back to meet Paul's g/f the delightful Lisa.
Friday 29th sort of happened without much incident.
Saturday 30th Losing track of time here really, what did I do on Saturday. No idea.
Sunday 1st October Returned to Northern Ireland to play my singles tie, see journal entry below.
Monday 2nd October really enjoyed returning to baggage reclaim at Gatwick as the greeting this time was far more intimate than the first time.
Tuesday 3rd Went with FC to the Dome well it is only one tube stop away after all. Have to say if you go there with your mind open and look in detail at all the various zones it is actually very worthwhile. We had a great time there, highlight would have to have been the Blackadder Back and Forth show even waiting for it to start was fun as hosts were some of your worst nightmares.
Wednesday 4th Went around the National Gallery together and shared our passion for landscape and swiftly moved past the potraits. Nice to show her one of the pics on which one of my poems is based.
Thursday 5th FC off to Uni for first lectures so I went around the Science museum's Star Trek exhibition just around the corner only was upset by sudden arrival of a hoarde of schoolkids which ruined my viewing pleasure.
Later meet up with Eomando and Paul Prefect at Waterloo and went for a meal at TGI Fridays, may be the first occasion a foursome of couples wh meet through h2g2 got together, and not an awful lot of conversation was had, too busy being in lurve I reckon from all 4 of us. Then off to a Pub where we almost got chucked out for being to affectionate. One of the number was a little embaressed by this, but I will not be drawn on their name.
Friday 6th Last day with FC for the time being, so we went for a Picnic in Regent's Park. Which included snow flakes, which got shared. Then we went to St. Paul's cathederal, and yes we did climb to the top, broken ankle and all.
Saturday 7th Both almost in tears as the hours tick away, and the trip to the airport. We have bruch at Planet Hollywood and know the dreaded hour of having to part is fast approaching. And just hold on to each other for a long as possible before my flight is called to gate 106 and I head off to the departure gate. And once through the first band of security ttext messaging strat agian having been more or less silent for the last 10 days.
So that was the 10 days where I fell in love with a really wonderful woman, and now I find it hard to be here alone, although the 24/7 nature of our communication makes it somewhat easier yet harder at the same time.

DD,
Okay, now I know. Ain't love just the bees' knees? Does this mean someone else has to take over the history articles? Take care,
Walter.

awwwwww, bless, DD sounds like you had a good time, and now I've gone all soppy.
Take care of her, as she is woman, and therefore a Goddess. But I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that.
