[Mog] It's ... er ...
[Dylan] ... frigid inside my house, though outside it's slightly too warm for long pants and three layers of shirts. Good thing I brought a fan to class for my laptop ...

Well, Irv, the day has technically passed, but I've got an idea for a special drink in honor of the NEXT TLAP day that we get to (and heck, what day isn't good for a TLAP day special? Every day should be as fun as TLAP day, right down to the pirate talk.)
Anyway, the name of the drink is "The Snikersnee." It's named after a type of sword that I've always imagined a pirate would have fun using, just because it's so much fun to say with that stereotypical pirate accent.
Start by blending some coffee with an icecicle (like a sword, an icecicle would be cold and sharp.) Add some snickers (or similar candy) along with a small amount of honey. Serve with whipped cream to represent the froth of the open sea.

Sounds good, Affy.
Does it count as "talking like a pirate" if a bunch of lawyers get drunk together and talk about taking people's money?

Afgncaap5 Posted Sep 21, 2007
No, Irv. It's "talk like a pirate day" not "act like a pirate day."

Yesterday we did tax stuff. As in how to stop the Pirates at the IRS from looting our clients. Does that make us privateers? The British Armada?

It would make you heroes, to me.
IIEM, some anticoffee, please. Tomorrow is a two-job day.

*Starts working on the next week's batch of specials*
Okay, so apparently (link: http://www.revolutionhealth.com/blogs/newsbarista/russia-to-citizens-h-7327) there's a region in Russia which gives couples time off work every September 12 to try to conceive a child. Any couple that successfully gives birth on June 12, the following year wins a prize. Were talking appliances and cars.
Anyone else find this thoroughly disturbing?

[Mog] Hmm ... IIEM, a usual.
[IIEM] Right, a triple espresso with an extra shot of espresso, and a shot of espresso on the side (with an extra shot of espresso).
[Mog] And make it strong this time.
[Dylan] One for me, too, I decided to count how many times I could tackle Commander Keen II: The Earth Explodes without giving up as that one little red robot in the last level reaches the pinnacle of that wall it's climbing onto and walks right into the electrical hazard, with me dying on said electrical hazard. The answer is "one."
