Hi Zach,

Welcome to H2G2. I think you'll like it here.

I see you haven't yet been visited by an ACE.

I'm going to pop over to your personal space and tell you a little more about this "peer review" thing and some of the other places you can find to post here. smiley - smiley

I quite like that, but it ain't suitable for PR. Shame really - I think that sort of entry is a what a lot of people finding H2G2 through DNA's work would be expecting. Hey ho.

Anyway, welcome to the fold, Formerly Phred's gonna' point you in the right direction.

I hope you like it here, but if you do your social life might suffer!smiley - biggrin

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Then this is a good opportunity to point out that you can write as many of those as you like as long as you don't submit them to Peer Review for inclusion in the Edited Guide. The Editors are keen to let everyone know that although this website was devised by Douglas Adams, it's not a Douglas Adams fan site, and they don't want to see everyone trying to write in Douglas' style. He was the only one who could do that, just as you are the only one who can write in your style.

You might want to check out the Writing-Guidelines for more info on what is Peer Review-appropriate. Note that, as was mentioned above, we don't go for submissions that mimic DNA's style.

But that doesn't mean you can't write entries like that - you can write anything you like on-site, as long as it follows the House Rules.

in the mean time, if you could go to the peer review forum, find your entry (its organised by time posted, so if you want to make it easy, just post a reply here then it should be at the top), and click the remove or x link

That will remove it from peer review, however it will remain part of the unedited guide.

And please, read through the writing guidelines and have a look at some edited entries to see the kind of things we are looking for, and if you can see something we have not covered, then please write an entry, in your own style about it (and please don't mention vogons in it)

I think it has to be a month before we can do that.

As I understand it, the author has to have elvised for a month before we can remove it on grounds of complete and utter unsuitability. But I won't necessarily swear by that.smiley - erm
