Bye for now

mixed bag, my driving test today got cancelled due to the snow ...
I'm now at 100 pages of thesis
but some "last minute" calculations disprove an idea my supervisor had so I get the feeling that yet more last minute calculations will be heading my way after meeting with him tomorrow
however, I've started what I think he'll want me to do (they take 2 days each - total of at least 8 days) so I will be 24 hours ahead

When are you going to have to take your driving test now? Good luck with it, when you do!

I should hear in a few days about revised test appointments.

Perhaps you'd like to correct your article on Sadako: the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6th 1945, not August 15th.

Tell the editor, not me - I can't do anything about it (which you'd know if you'd had anything edited.) Haven't you noticed that I am in the middle of writing my thesis and am too busy to do any Guide stuff anyway? Bit rude to butt in on a random conversation on my page too.

Thanks very much, your tone's a bit rude if I may say. I'm a new user as it happens and I'd tell the editor if I knew how to. I thought I was being helpful. Sorry to have disturbed you.

Woops, oh dear. New user who hasn't learnt the 'netiquette' of trying to join in other people's conversations yet. Let's hope he learns soon!
Hope you're doing fine and not too stressed by the th*s*s. My semester's very nearly at an end - only one more week to go!
Take care,
Lizzy

oh dear and he gets me, when I'm not in a very helpful frame of mind. Most other times, I would have been. Where other times means not th*s*sing.
Very busy at the mo - get up and seem to th*s*s till bed time, with the occasional stop for food and driving lessons.

Oh dear, no wonder you're feeling a bit stressed and grumpy. Having to work on any project all the hours God sends in not likely to put anyone in a good mood. Have you had to give up Guiding at the mo' as well then?
Hope the driving lessons are managing to provide you with some light relief (though I guess not much). Do you have a deadline for your th*s*s? (If it's soon, sorry to have made you remember it! ).
Wish I could do a bit more to help you feel less stressed from my computer, but seems the most I can do is offer you some and and a .
Take care - you can do it!

*Drinks the and finishes all the in sight*
135 pages - so over the half the maximum I'm allowed (limit is 250)
I have to finish off two chapters - which hopefully I will do tomorrow - then hand them to the supervisor and start on the Introduction (that and the Conclusion are the hardest bits to write.)
The university deadline for my th*s*s is at the beginning of October, but I am overrunning without pay so "asap." I am also starting work on 7th April, so I want to have it out of the way by then. The end is coming slowly closer.

Hi Ændr
Hope you're OK, that the end of your th*s*s is now hoving into view and that writing the Intro and the Conclusion for it wasn't too stressful.
I'm now on my vacation and I'm busy seeing some more of Germany at the moment with my American friend Graham and his friend Ella, who's also American but is spending a year studying in Finland. We went to Hamburg at the wkend and spent today in Aachen. We've also got plans to go to Cologne and Bonn. On Thurs evening Graham and I are going to Prague for a four-day trip, to see the city and meet up with a friend. So I'm going to be pretty busy, which means that I may not be around in h2g2 very much until next week.
I've found some more and to help you along, and even a . Good luck!
Take care, ttyl, Lizzy

The intro and conclusion will take a few weeks to write...
Hope you have a great holiday - it sounds fun. I'm having a short break in Wales next weekend, myself. I'll need it!
Thanks for the cake and chocolate.
Cheerio
