I just got my period, a mere 5 weeks late (due to the stress of starting a new job) and it feels great! Late periods give you a mild case of PMS on a permanent basis, and when you receive that hefty dollop of new hormones you feel like you can take on the universe. I'm awake, alert and loving life.
