If you're thinking of moving to Lincolnshire...

If you're seriously thinking of Lincolnshire, i live in Louth, which is between Grimsby and Boston, it's lovely, but small and no railway. But if you wanted to come and see what the county is like you'd be welcome to stay.
Stick to the North of the county rather than the south, as the north has roads - as a commuter myself i can assure you they are hell.

That's really kind of you, thank you! I have stayed in Lincolnshire - last August I stayed with Galaxy Babe, so I got to see the county a bit.
I have also got a little camper that I'd like to use to visit the area when it's warmer, but I certainly wouldn't say no to a quick tour of the area - and the answers to some questions once I've got as far as narrowing it down to a town.
At the moment I'm looking at schools near Grantham, and they aren't looking that impressive.

I have met the autist - and I can vouch for him, he's a lovely young man
Louth is a beautiful town, it's were we spent the day on my dad's birthday a couple of weeks ago. Dad and I bought some gorgeous Japanese pears at the market (I also got a pot of snowdrops in flower for my garden for 50p) while my Mum & sister were searching for shoes
It's got a great chippy too
It was sunny all day, then when I got home it was snowing!
with the schools hunt, I guess that's your top priority.

My parents retired to Louth from Grimsby. They are very happy there, gardening club and bowling!
As for Autist being a lovely young man - not sure about that one we were together for over 2 years and even got engaged !!
It is a blooming small world

Clearly it's the 'young' bit rather than the 'lovely' that you're contesting there, right darl?
One of the other things about south Lincolnshire is the lack of Youth Service provision - it really is awful compared to the excellent services up in NE Lincs. They still have the Grammar School system in south Lincs so all the schools are horrible.

hmm I seem to have unsubscribed from this conversation by accident, sorry!!
I did think that the schools were looking a bit pants and that there were a lot of grammer schools there. I was intending to do a bit of research into schools when I can get up there to visit later this year.
