To all those users of the defragmentation program hinted at in the previous journal post:

I'd lay money that some of you:

1. Sit and watch this program do it's stuff instead of leaving it to get on with it. Atleast one of you probably tries to do other things with the system while it's running. Notice how it never finishes when you do that?
2. Sit and watch the program do it' stuff with the full detailed display, virtually hypnotised by all the blocks being shuffled around and changing colour.
3. Never think to clean up the disk before doing it, but always remember afterwards, creating thousands of little holes in the block allocation bitmap which means that the next file you write will be fragmented all over the place.
4. Are probably wondering what a block allocation bitmap might possibly be?

For maximum points, you do it on a laptop, while running on batteries. Why not try flashing the BIOS next time your battery is low? ry using a BIOS for an older model of laptop, as the slower clock speed will save battery power, right?
Disclaimer: I disclaim everything, including this disclaimer.

Hey! I always thought Defrag was the sequel to that Asteroids game from the '80s! No wonder the graphics haven't gotten much better. I'm feeling a little abashed, though.. I was really good at Defrag. Not that I could ever find the high score list.. But I'm sure I was on it.
