If I was a power engineer I might say "There's a bit of a slant on those poles. A winter storm might bring them down."
Being more of a poet, I might say "We humans are always imposing our straight lines on natures' flourishes."

Well observed! Nature's flourishes, indeed - which do bring the power lines down in storms.
According to my brother-in-law, calling the power company people does no good. They insist on waiting until they actually come down.

I am a linesman for the county time? Or is that only in Denver?
Beautiful pic.

And to think that I manage to get only one cable to be all knotted up on a daily basis... (the one from my headphones).
They put cables underground here (only the big boys with the 150+ kilovolts are overhead wires, and those will also go down eventually)
Love the photo.

Here, too, most places, but this is the land that time forgot.
When I was a kid, this sort of thing was more common:

"Take Me Home, Country Road"
On a total different track (sorry!) As a heavy rock "guy" ie: Led Zeppelin etc
John Denver's music/songs were 100% <smiley

That song used to cause me some wear to my vocal chords.

Beautiful picture indeed - great subject for black and white, as the contrast in textures and the lines and curves are pleasing to the eye and reward repeat viewings
