If I was a power engineer I might say "There's a bit of a slant on those poles. A winter storm might bring them down."

Being more of a poet, I might say "We humans are always imposing our straight lines on natures' flourishes."

smiley - laugh Well observed! Nature's flourishes, indeed - which do bring the power lines down in storms.

According to my brother-in-law, calling the power company people does no good. They insist on waiting until they actually come down. smiley - winkeye

And to think that I manage to get only one cable to be all knotted up on a daily basis... (the one from my headphones).

They put cables underground here (only the big boys with the 150+ kilovolts are overhead wires, and those will also go down eventually)
