Thank you for this Entry - it is a topic I am interested in. I once had a problem that I thought a probiotic yoghurt might solve, but the probiotic gave me diarrhoea as it was not what my intestines needed. Thus I know probiotics are not a panacea, although they are beneficial to people who need them

I did have a couple questions:

What is "inflammatory food"?

Aren't kimchi and sauerkraut fermented foods by definition, or are there times when they will be fermented, and times when they will not?

Hey, thanks for this! I was nervous you might be bashing probiotics, which really work for me, though I go easy on the sauerkraut.

I'm with Sasha, I think sauerkraut, at least, is always fermented. Otherwise it's just cabbage or cole slaw?
