I can't imagine ever having too many roses*. I don't have much experience with lavender, but the bees love them so I can respect them. smiley - smiley

* We have wild roses growing from seeds that fell from a rose on the other side of our perimeter fence (The branch reached through the hole to our side, and dropped seeds). The seedlings gradually spread by rhizomes, and now we have half a dozen little rose plants, each with rosehips of its own).

Thanks! smiley - smiley I bought another rose bush at half the price but I'm not sure yet where to plant it.
Lavender is easy. All I ever do is remove dry flowers. This new one already grew quite a bit in only 2 months or so.

I too have a rose bush that I'm trying to find a promising home for. I also have some more suckers from another rose. I should transplant them, but I'm too lazy to do so now. smiley - blush

smiley - laugh I know the feeling.

I'm currently making a new bed for my herbs. They grow too much in the shadow where they are now.

You're lucky to have plants that will grow in the shade. smiley - smiley

Planted lavender along my front garden path two weeks ago. Now I know what to do with the space in between. Thanks

It took 5 minutes after planting for the first bees to turn up.

Bees are really amazing. There are squash bees that pretty much take up residence in squash or pumpkin blossoms.

Here in the Northeast U.S., the Monarch butterflies are snacking on nectar from goldenrod and asters as they migrate south for the winter. You can buy goldenrod if you wish, but I let mine grow wild. smiley - smiley
