My one doubt concerns the statement about the 'weaponisation of the Bible' 'This task was left to the late 19th Century.' Wasn't it earlier than that? The Puritans of the 17th century perhaps?

I don't believe Puritans actually threw Bibles at anyone. They did many other horrible things, including naming their kids 'Flee Fornication Johnson'...

Only one tiny point - House Style after quotes is to put a " - " before the name of the attributee.
