Was he the one of the two with quite serious dementia? I remember watching a rather painful interview with them about a year or two ago.

Happened on the 13th, too. And he was under 50. If anyone had picked him, they'd have scored 50 points.

I have been reading his cancer diary, I found it when I was researching oesophageal cancer, which my partner has been diagnosed with.

Steve went to sleep for the last time listening to Bob Dylan, according to his Wiki page; this is my partner's favourite singer/songwriter, I've never known him listen to anything else and he's chosen two tracks for his funeral.
I thank Steve Hewlett for speaking so openly about his diagnosis and cataloguing his journey for the benefit of others. I feel much empathy for his family as the love they have has crossed the airwaves and touched my heart.

Leah Adler, former concert pianist and artist, restaurant owner (The Milky Way), may not be famous in her own right but we owe her a debt of thanks for giving the world Steven Spielberg. This quote made me smile: "I told Steve, if I'd known how famous he was going to be, I'd have had my uterus bronzed!"

There's a lovely tribute at the end of that article ...
"while known for her red lipstick and Peter Pan collars, for her love of daisies, for her blue jeans and sparkly bling, for her dancing from table to table around the Milky Way, and for her love of camping, fishing and crossword puzzles, Leah is best remembered for her deep, limitless love for the people around her."
What a wonderful way to be remembered RIP
