It appears that IS leader al-Baghdadi may have popped back to life, after the organisation released a new voice message from him:

As you may recall, the Russians claimed to have killed him in an air strike in May, then the Americans said he was probably dead as he hadn't appeared for a few months. I consulted a couple of players who agreed we should consider him dead.

I'm inclined to cancel that after today's news. Do others agree?

It might be a message he recorded before his death.

How about we consider him *mostly* dead, and only undead him if it can help with the tie break?

There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.

Deathlist 2018 Reminder

Thank you to Galaxy Babe and MMF who have both sent me their 2018 lists, thus guaranteeing that we will have a competition next year.

Each has also sent me a couple of reserve picks, in case any of their 15 dies before 1st January. This happened with Bluebottle's pick of Carrie Fisher last year, so be warned.
