Simon arrives in the dining room, and seats himself near the head of the table, sipping his bourbon thoughtfully.

*Harry pokes his nose around the pantry door, takes one look at the arriving guests and hurries downstairs*

*Maria enters behind Simon and takes a seat where she can see the door.*

*Junes enters the room, glass in hand*

*hurries in looking distinctly nervous* Right then, shall we eat? *sits down at the head of the table and tosses back the rest of his drink in two gulps*

*Marisol comes into the room and heads instinctively for the foot of the table. She catches herself, and then sits there anyway.*

*June sits down*

* enters carrying turreen and proceeds to serve soup *

Dinner ladies and gentlemen, first course is mushroom soup. Made from Mr McLeery's own mushrooms I am given to understand.

*tries to avoid Marisol's eye, which is difficult as she is straight ahead of him* Place cards next time.

Jeeves, I'll have another.

Certainly sir, or would you care for me to open some of the wine?

Whatever, Jeeves, thank you.

Very good sir, I shall pour the white, a very fine frascati I believe.

*serves everyone white wine before taking the empty turreen down to the kitchen*

In an apparent attempt at small talk, Simon clears his throat and asks "So, Abel, how's the business going?"

*raises his glass*

Cheers, everyone! Please enjoy the meal. * sets his wine down then picks up a spoon and begins to eat*

Simon, taking a hint, grumbles to himself and then starts slurping his soup.

*Places her napkin in her lap, and tastes the soup.*

Why, this is lovely! My compliments to the chef and the gardener!

*June downs her rum*

*stares at the soup and picks up her spoon*

*Eats a few mouthfuls of soup. Puts her spoon down and turns to Jane.*

I understand that you have now been on the best seller list longer than 50 Shades of Grey. My congratulations. It must be so nice to have your hard work recognised.

*enters room*

If everyone has finished their soup, let me clear those dishes away for you.

*removes dishes to pantry before taking them down to the kitchen*
