In the conversation telling DG that he had the quote of the day there are about 42 entries. several of these are from geggs and read: There has been an issue with rendering this post, please contact the editors. http://www.h2g2.com/user/U1590784/conversation/view/F2130684/T8291682/

this was a conversation about the quote of the day. However I have no idea what the quote was because I can't get there http://www.h2g2.com/user/U1590784/conversation/view/F2130684/T8291682/page/1

It's a known issue, Shagbark. When I congratulate folk on getting the quote of the day, I include the link to the post it comes from. This link is to the Pliny version of the post. However, for some reason, Pliny doesn't like links to Pliny posts appearing in conversations. You can see the link in Ripley, though, and it does work. Oh, and your links in this thread aren't working, but you remove the www. bit, they will. That one took me a bit of experimentation to find out.

It is on Pastey's list of things to fix, I believe. It is a long list, though, and he is a busy chap.

Milla, h2g2 Operations

Geggs is totally right... we are aware of the problem, and it's on the long list of things to fix.

Thanks for reporting though smiley - ok, we rather have multiple reports about something, than miss out because someone thinks it's already been reported, and decides not to mention it.

glad to see someone accepts negative feedback. I have concerns that the astronomical errors on our printed calendar reflect badly on the credibility of h2g2. The cover says it is the work of the community artists so I tried starting a forum on their page about it and was scolded by the moderators for harassment.
the list of errors has been e-mailed to the artseditor although she will probably just chalk it up as one more attempt by shagbark to attack her. In actuality it is the errors not the author of same that I am attacking. If this were a virtual calendar a curator could correct it. Since it is in print all we can do is hope that next years copy will be more accurate.
