Will everyone stop flouncing off?
Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Aug 7, 2011
Even the topic of this thread has flounced off, so why shouldn't you?
Nah, stay, if not in this thread (that seems to have outlived itself by now anyway) then in any other(s)

In other words, he's moved from an open forum where anyone can read his stuff to a closed silo where only approved friends can read it.
Well, Twitter is open, it's just impossible to navigate. And Facebook is grand for immediate chat, but useless for actual conversations. You can never find anything.

. . . and Facebook is perfect for people who want to bore everyone with photos of their grandchildren.
But you're right TRiG - it doesn't have the functionality of h2g2 where we can discuss things properly. The other thing you mention is finding things again, thank bob for hootoo.

We say that, but this place is a nightmare to navigate. It's alright for those of us that have been here a long time, but I found myself wanting to find the Atelier yesterday and I had no clue how to do that. I could think of a couple of ways, but had I been a newbie I wouldn't have had a clue.

I agree about the nightmare thing. I've been here for years now, and still haven't the slightest clue how to find anything at all.

Mostly hanging around <./>Askh2g2</.>.
And here. And there. Kinda floating, mid-stream, while h2g2 moves around me.
(ignore me, I had caffinated tea. It makes me type funny.)

Float in the direction of PR, people. Go comment, and write something...
Send me something for Halloween. Preferably by next Monday....
Go torment Dr Z. Or post admiring things to Pastey. Or read ...Awix's movie review is still making me laugh...

I've never been to the atelier, but I entered "Atelier" in the search bar and it came up top of the list.
