h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

2007 was an "interesting time" for me, I think. More good than bad, overall.

I finally left my job, and I started in new job in Dublin.

I finished my thesis, and graduated with a first class honours Masters degree in business.

A small black spot on my neck quickly turned into a major health-scare.

I won a big speech evaluation competition.

I fell from a rock ledge while out walking by the coast: giving me a scar on my leg that I'm kind of proud of!

I went to my youngest sister's wedding in Toronto, and another wedding in Brittany.

I read out a few of my own poems at a poetry night - something I had never done before.

I climbed a few mountains (and hope to get one or two more before the year finally comes to an end).

I spoke for 2 minutes about best man speeches on national radio.

Things improved on the home-front.

I made and kept a number of good friendships. My friends were a big help to me in what was sometimes a difficult year.

Here's to 2008. I wish you all a fantastic year ahead of you.

As we will continue

I don't know what I'd do without my friends.

I know the Round Robin kind of letter gets a lot of stick, and it's not something I'd include in all my Chritsmas Card, but it is useful to look back over the last 12 months in a positive frame of mind.

I hope that 2008 holds nothing but the best things for you, Woodpigeon. I enjoyed meeting and hanging out with you some of the times you were in Chicago- so thanks for adding some fun times and a good friendship to my roster for 2007.
