An essay on the Redneck urbanisation process

Is there more rednecks or sophisticated people? I think that the ratio changes with time and political climate.
If by definition a Redneck is 'someone with a humorous and sometimes glorious absence of sophistacation', then it would include the Urban Redneck. The Urban Redneck is just like his fellow backtown redneck but evolving in a urban environment. You could still see a link to its origins, like the tendency to have a twelve-gauge in the closet and a cheap beer close at hand.
Typical Redneck behavior includes, but is not limited to: Sitting on the porch on a sunny day in boxer-shorts and muscle, with a beer between the legs; getting drunk at the pub with the grocery money; advance use of ducktaping technics, specially on old trucks; making fun of whatever or whoever differing from the typical Redneck; likes a good fight, particularly when drunk; have a tendency to flood banks and grocery stores the first of the month.
By having a close look at those few characteristics, I would say that the ratio Redneck/Sophisticated people is around 60/40 right now in Canada, because of the lack of major urban centers that encourage sophisticated people. And, due to the expansion of the Urban Redneck phenomena and the expansion of major urban centers, I think we can expect the ratio to remain the same for a few years.
That ratio is interesting when we look back at the first North Americans, which were almost all true Rednecks. Does this mean that humans are evolving in the good direction?? Does anyone have an opinion on the ration Red/Soph in other countries like the US, the UK or France??
