So do I but the SurfTime number I have got only should work in of-peak times, I have tried on peak times and it doesn't connect, but today it does,

But let's play safe, 2 and a bit hours till 18:00

Bank holidays aren't cheap rate. SurfTime is just 6pm to 8am week-days and then from 6pm Friday to 8am Monday. I guess BT would find it too complicated to change the system to take bank holidays into account. smiley - sadface All other times you should use BT Internet Daytime which is part of the SurfTime package. It's a cheaper telephone call time charge than standard rate but it's still charged.

No idea on BT, but I checked with NTL before xmas - all weekdays are being charged at normal daytime rates, holiday day or not.

Don't tell anyone I told you, but if you're on BT Surftime there's a number you can get which'll work 24-7. I dunno if you'll be able to find out what it is (I'm not saying) but a few minutes with a decent search engine might be worth the effort...

May start searching, but my net time is going up as it is, there is an outside world waiting for me so maybe I'll stick to off-peak.

I have read that the billing of SurfTime can be pants with huge bills being sent out instead of ickle ones.

My phone bill tends towards showing around 180 hours of free calls each month... I probably *do* use the net too much, at that smiley - smiley
