Am I the lord of forgetfulness?
SpideyBat Started conversation Dec 8, 2000
Why does it seem that people forget who I am? I met someone on AOL about 1 week ago and talked for hours. Today I tell her "Hey, whats up" and I get the response of "Who the h*** are you?". This isn't the first time its happened. Am I the only person that people tend to forget, or has this happened to anyone else here?

Look on the bright side: some people spend their whole life trying to maintain a low profile and, to their horror, being noticed and remembered.
What's a SpideyBat, by the way? Is it a bat with more than it's fair share of legs and eyes or is it a spider with wings and an extraordinarily acute sense of hearing? With a name like SpideyBat, I'm sure I'll remember you!

Well, SpideyBat is the mix of Spider-Man and Batman. With Spider-Man's great speed and strengh, and Batman's cunning intellect. SpideyBat is the greatest superhero on earth! Greater than superman! But anyway, it's hard to see how people can forget who I am.

Ah, I see. That's a pretty unusual mix of species. I can see why you wouldn't expect to be easily forgotten.
In my experience, the entities at h2g2 are very nice and friendly and, on the whole, they seem to have good memories. Perhaps you should give AOL the elbow and hang out at h2g2.
You might consider becoming a spy if you really are talented at going unnoticed though. Stick with what you're good at!

Happens to me all the time.I have an instantly forgettable face. However as no one can see your face on the internet this is less likely to happen when I'm online.Hence the smileys
