Registering is easy - there is a button in the top right corner of the homepage http://h2g2.com
To recover an old account, people may e-mail moderators at h2g2 dot com

I don't see a button at the top right corner of the home page. I can't push a button that's not there.

It's just right below the search bar, "Find h2g2 Entries:"
If you're signed in already it says, "Log out | Preferences | My Space"; if you're not a registered user, or you're signed out it says, "Sign In or Register".
