If you didn't already hate the French/Mcdonalds, why not try this for a reason?
Dr Anthea - ah who needs to learn things... just google it! Posted Feb 25, 2013
that seems completely unreasonable and completely over the top.
mcdonalds is not a site of state security... what did they have to fear over any camera equipment let alone that which would allow a person to see clearly?
I can't for the life of me think of a reasonable explanation for this behaviour

Hoo
Am I blind as I can't specifically see where it says he specifically needs them for vision aid - more that he uses them because he designs them as part of his research.
Obviously a rum thing for McDonalds staff to do - it seems they do not like people using recording equipment in their fast-food outlets in case people record trade secrets etc...

Yes Hoo, the rest of us also like to tar all of a certain group with the same brush based on the behaviour of a few members of that group.
Bless.
I mean, what these people did was unnecessary, but I'm pretty sure it had more to do with them just being than their nation or employer.

Hmmm, mulls whether we should start going into McDonalds and start filming each other for the sheets and giggles.
Does McDonalds specifically have on its doors that cameras are not allowed inside?
IF not then one can use them inside...as soon as they try to touch the camera you do them for assault, if they do remove it from you you do them for theft....

Oh, I'll happily tar anyone who works or even eats in that place with the same brush...amazed the guy was even going into the place...he can't be that intelligent then!!!

I remember this, though fail to see why you draw the inferences you do. Also I do not believe he needs these for his vision, they are something he is doing research on and he could see perfectly well without.

That's right, I am indeed a complete moron. I thought it was solely because I am a Catholic, but I now realise that I was wrong all along.
Thank you, Hoo, for opening my eyes.

I mean did you get a good look at the guy?
Creeped me right out. Got what he deserved
by my accounts. And that was before I saw
he was Canadian, which really clinched it.
If I ever ran into him staring at me on the
streets of Toronto I'da decked him. Not that
I'm ever planning on going to Toronto again.
Too many creeps.

You know what I don't like about you Hooloovoo? Well I'll tell you anyway: You're deliberately antagonistic towards entire groups of people who never actually went out of their way to provoke /you/ at all.
Or to put it another way: You're exactly like those McDonald's employees and this power company. Except that you're actually much worse than them, because you go around picking fights with people who don't know or care that you exist and who don't actually affect you, just so you can wallow in your delusional sense of moral superiority.
(If this is moderated then it was still worth it.)

Yeah, I'm *much* worse than a person committing a physical assault in spurious enforcement of a non-existent law.
And I'm far more reprehensible than a state-owned international energy company using their enormous resources to abuse the judicial process and shut down peaceful protest about their activities.
How am I so much worse than these people? I *say mean things* sometimes.
Sense of proportion, much?
"You know what I don't like about you Hooloovoo? "
Didn't know before, don't care now.
You know what I don't like about you? Nothing. You have absolutely zero impact on my existence for good or ill, excepting only this response.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled wittering...

The acts towards that man were not nice. Nobody is arguing about that. But claiming that the Parisians are the rudest people in the world, that is not ok.

Insulting a nation is racism, it's not allowed on site regardless of who's doing it.

Insulting a nation is NOT necessarily racism. Bigotry, sure, but not necessarily racism.
Carry on.
