Can you see the result? (I can't, at the time of writing, but I could a little while ago)

Did you know that at one point, there were relatively few votes (less than a thousand), and about three quarters said "Yes"?

Did you know that subsequently some people whose brains aren't made of cotton wool started voting, and the result switched round until it was an overwhelming "No" with over 80% voting against?

Did you know that at that point the poll mysteriously broke down and started showing results from earlier? Can you guess how much earlier?
(a) a little earlier when the "No" wasn't completely overwhelming
(b) a good deal earlier when the "Yes" and the "No" were about even
(c) a LOT earlier when the "Yes" still outweighed the "No" comfortably?

Pfft. Acupuncture clearly works. It's why we've evolved to hurl ourselves into thorn bushes at every opportunity.

My stepfather Ian (true fact) believes in acupuncture (falsehood in service of upcoming pun - strap in). My mother is concerned about this irrational belief, so she had me turn up and explain to him in detail where his beliefs are faulty. Yes... she had

me rid Ian

of his superstitions.


In other news, it's acupuncture awareness week, and the website with the broken poll... is broken. Hah! Maybe they should stick a needle in their web server...
