I'd like to see this question readressed, especially as some of the posters to the original seem to have left the dinner table.I'd like to invite a group of researchers from the British English thread - you know who you are

Please don't accuse me of taking this too seriously, but what is the purpose of this dinner?
Is it just to say "I had dinner with my 8 favourite dead people" or is it because these people each have something that you would like to ask them? For example Mohammad: "Well that was quite a cat you let out of the bag there, wasn't it?" I would contend that there isn't much you could ask Albert Einstein (for example) that he didn't say at least ten times.
And are essentially fictional people (Jesus) really allowed?

I like hot debate across the dinner table so people with completely opposing views would be nice... lets see, as time periods aren't a problem, i'll have me at 16, and me at 25, that should set the sparks flying...
