Which sound?

Depends who "we" are I suppose. The first motorway in the UK dates back over 50 years and had no speed limit. I'm surprised automatic devices were installed on cars back then.... maybe it was just the engine complaining
Which sound?
I'm in New Zealand. The open road speed limit was 80km/hr until the late 80s or so. They put it up to 100 (probably as one of those stupid we have to keep up with the rest of the world things ).
