For those of you who remember the Monty Python sketch...
Can you recognise these trees?

I got 9/13. Can you do better?

one miss because I confused the english names (being a dumb Swede)
one miss because I couldn't see the shape of the leaves.

I got 9. But Ivy is hardly a tree and some others were no brainers. Holly was particularly tricky I thought
Also I missed 4 as it was a picture of a nut and not a tree, I thought it was showing the picture of the fruit of the previous tree...
Still I'm quite pleased.

Yes, I missed that one. Unless you live near Preston Park, Brighton, you've probably never seen an elm in the last 30 years.

Yes, I thought the elm was Very Unfair. Now I can't have my guide Woodcraft badge.
Not all the images were working properly when I tried it just now, mind. So it's possible I got more than that one wrong.
But I don't think so.

Got them all. I surprised myself with the Elm even though we have a variety of Elm (Ulmus) at the bottom of the garden (along with the s) on the stream bank but I'm not sure which it is.
We do live in rural North Wales which means we see lots of trees around and about.

I didn't expect to do very well after what will hitherto be referred to as 'the chestnut fiasco', but got 10/13 anyway.

I got 9, but it's been a while since I saw any English trees.

12/13 – just got the sycamore wrong. We’ve still got plenty of elms around in the churchyard at home. Our sycamores are much smaller than the one in that picture.
