For what it's worth (and I know I'm rarely around now), if it were possible I would wish that TPTB merge the original thread with the sequel.

It's just so amazing to see recent posts from many members of the 'original cast' - my love to you all.

It's so good to see the "Old Thread" back ... I had feared it was lost forever (and that's one hell of a long time !).

The current thread is "British English - The Sequel". The British English thread is a museum piece, there to be studied and admired!

So far the only recent posts to it are ones marvelling that it finally came back after 18 months in moderation.

Are there any other theads you would like to see back or is this the only one to make such an impression on researchers?

Well everything should be back, so I suppose you can try looking for any. It has always annoyed me that you can't search for thread titles, though, only scraps of conversation within the postings - and who's going to remember them verbatim?
