How do you ask for a beer?

Post 41

Nbcdnzr, the dragon was slain, and there was much rejoicing

No Dutch yet? Here goes:
Mag ik een biertje? (Mag: pronounced with an "a" as in fart, and with a soft "g", not like magazine. ik: sick -s. een: almost like fun -f.)
Which translates as: Can I have one beer?

Or in the dialect of the place where I was born:
Moog ich unne Pils?

smiley - cheers

"Can uy orduh uh buhr pluhse? (Scottish)"

I have no idea what part of Scotland you're referring to. I don't think that there's a bar in Fettes College.

Maybe 'Geez a pint eh Eye Pee Ah, pal' would be better.

You can get away with "a pint of plain" in more rural pubs...probably not in the city though.
A pint of black might not be understoood because - sure what other colour could a pint be?
