I remember reading a scientific enquiry into this, but I can't remember where. Probably circling around the internet somewhere. I don't think it came to a definitive answer though.

I think it's something like a squirrel, but some kind of North American version. Or maybe it's something like a beaver. Dunno

Woodchucks don't chuck wood and they wouldn't if they could.
The name woodchuck is a very bad european approxiamation of a native american word
