Since this forum has degraded to an insulting fest between a geezer and a Jedi, it will now explode.
[It does so]

Thing really went haywire, and all I did was to go off-line for a few weeks. Oh my...
But I DO have a life! (When I'm not on-line, that is... which means that I do NOT have MUCH of a life... I guess...)
Sorry to hear about the asshole!

This is getting very tiring, and it is clear that I am going to have to say this very slowly as you obviously didn't get the point in my earlier posting:
"I...didn't...say...you...didn't...have...a...life...so...stop...moaning...please!!!!"
God, you really should take some of the things you read on the net with a pinch of salt instead of getting all wound up about it.

And you posted that twice.

jamin.r Posted Jun 2, 2000
Yeh - I know I posted it twice. I think most of my replies are diseased - it's happened on other forums too.
Mourning what, exactly?

KimotoCat Posted Jun 2, 2000
Mourning my so-called lack of a so-called life.
Anyway, I am VERY proud!
Just forgot why...

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jun 2, 2000
Is it because you aren't dead?
So you vant to be a participant in a none-too-Jedi exploded forum!
KimotoCat Posted Jun 3, 2000
Nope... That could be it, but - nope.
I think it has something to do with this chicken I once met in the southernmost of Jutland. Or was it the anchovies again? Nope, not sure why.
But being proud is still a terribly nice feeling.

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jun 3, 2000
All too true. But don't let your pride become self-centeredness, as the late Joruus C'baoth did.

Ahh, pride leads to the Dark Side, hmm?
Who was... jummfrey... erh... that guy?

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jun 3, 2000
Joruus C'baoth was the insane clone of Jorus C'baoth (note the number of U's in his first name) who took over people's minds just because he could, and to show he understood power better than even the Emperor.

I see...
So, was he on the Light Side or the Dark Side?

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jun 5, 2000
DARK SIDE! Insanity plus pride plus self-centeredness plus taking over peoples minds /does/ seem to equal that.

KimotoCat Posted Jun 8, 2000
I dunno...
Guess that depends on the people who it is done to. We have a few politicians around here whose mind SHOULD be taken over by somebody (else).

i dont really know too much about pokemon but as an avid star wars fan i think darth woud take any of the pokemon characters.
Why i hear you ask
Wel in the return of the jedi at the end he takes the emperor and chucks hime over the balcony into the reactor core (or whatever it was, i've never really figured that one out, maybe some one could clarify that one) while he was injured and the emperor was kicking luke's but....
thus i think he would be able to kick the but of any cartoon character (if he was still around of course)

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jun 8, 2000
Three points.
One, I think that the Emperor wasn't paying much attention to anything besides exterminating the very last Jedi.
Two, there is such a thing as a Plot Contrivance: ie, Palpatine just /happened/ to not notice his impending doom.
Three ... well, a Dark Lord of the Sith against the most powerful psychic being on Earth. It's up for grabs, and in the end, one of them must get tired.
And Darth Vader is mostly artificial and won't get tired as fast as something completely artificial but still organic, so never mind.

Slim Posted Jun 13, 2000
Ok
I'll take point 1 as a fair point
but if we are talking about a fight between 2 characters then the person who writes the story for them decideds who wins... but if we are talking about 2 physical beings then the plot contrivience wouldn't come into it as no-one is writing a plot.
i think you created a circular argument with the 3rd point
but thanks anyway at least i know some one read my post
So you vant to be a Jedi!
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jun 13, 2000
Okay. But the Plot Contrivance is how Vader won, because someone named G. Lucas didn't want the evil Emperor to take over the Galaxy.
