Cal - interim high priest of the Church of the Holy Tail

I'm writing an entry about Carl Fogarty (4 times world superbike champ for those of you who don't know) I was just wondering if I should include links to pics of the different types of bikes he's had, or should I assume that anyone who wants to read about him will therefore know what bikes I'm speaking of?

MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

IMO photos of the bikes may fall foul of the picture-advertising thingy, but a link to the bike via manufacturer would be very helpful.

I'll look forward to the entry.

What link to the manufacturer rather than the bike itself? I'd like to add at this point that he's not used the same bike through out his career. As for ducati I prefer the Yam smiley - winkeye

I admit to knowing absolutely nothing of any relevance about bikes, infact, I'm not terribly keen on them. My brother was/is the bike fiend, he used to race, both moto-x and then the speedy vroooomy ones, and although I used to enjoy going to watch him race (with my heart in my throat) I never paid any attention to any particular bike, until he got his Ducati...and in a very girly way too, I just thought it looked pretty and made a lovely noisesmiley - loveblushtil he crashed it and made it look like a toastersmiley - erm

I bow to your superior knowledge and the fact that my bro upgraded to various other flavours sincesmiley - grovel

No links to manufacturers/commercial sites, that's against the houserules. If you can find pictures of the bikes themsleves, links to them should be fine. smiley - smiley

In answer to your original question Cal, I'd say that you should not assume that anyone reading about Carl Fogarty knows anything about him or his bikes and therefore any info, or pictures, should be aimed squarely at the potentially ignorant.
