I wonder what happened to Julie Covington. I saw her once only, singing "I don't know how to love him" or something from Jesus Christ Superstar, on a televised Footlights in about 1973. Have never been able to forget the name but never heard of her again.

And choreographed, miming 'boy' bands with audiences clapping out of time are nothing new.

*I just coincidentally had that link queued up in my clipboard buffer.

I could have seen the Ventures play live on Galveston Island about 23 years later, in '83. A girl I knew saw the billboard and expressed interest in seeing them. I should have taken her up on that and bought tickets. But I didn't comprehend yet that retro could be cool.

Recently I have discovered these 5 lads who have a great time cooking - just search on utube for fridgecam or sortedfood - really enjoyable watches, and you pick up some cooking tips whilst you're there, too. They upload 2 videos a week, every one a gem!

A couple of years ago, I found the "Queen of Shsmiley - bleepy Robots", Simone Giertz' YT channel. Here's an example where she builds a robot hat to feed oneself popcorn while watching movies with some help from Adam Savage of Mythbusters fame. http://youtu.be/-Iwdl3eQVsY

About a year ago, she discovered she had a brain tumor, so we've all been concerned. She just finished her radiation (Cyberknife tm) treatment and all seems well. smiley - biggrin
