I'm not going to let on what my score was suffice it to say it was below 50%. Would have been more if I hadn't second-guessed.

I got 9/10, but I really am good at geography. I didn't know whether it was Kosovo or Montenegro, though.

5/10.
Might possible have done better had there been a little more context, especially on the south-eastern Europe question. But not much better, I'm sorry to say.
And I guessed one country because of the text, which said "a significant minority speak Russian", not because of the map. And the one with the capital of Ulaanbator was also got from the text, not the map.
I find it hard to believe, though, that one fifth of British schoolkids couldn't find the UK on a map of the world. Was this a cross-age sample, from five to seventeen, or whatever?

Woodpigeon says his two-year-olds can find Earth on a map of the solar system, and Ireland on a map of the world.

Damn Woodpigeon just stole my thunder! I thought I was going to be the first person to get 10/10.
I do want to be a geography teacher, so I should be good at this sort of stuff.
