If it's a question that needs to be asked then it's a question, If its a question that does'nt need to be asked then it's not a question more a query, the question therefore is whether a question is a question or a query and does it require an answer or a reply?It's a good question though. What was the question again?

There's a school of thought that says that self-referential sentences are devoid of meaning, so by that reckoning your "question" is not a question, nor even a valid sentence.
But this is considered by all the other schools of thought as a bit of a cop out, by people who do not have balls enough to face up to the problem. The philosopher Bertrand Russell was generally looked down on for doing something similar in the mathematical world of set theory.
