How do they make macaroni?
The issue here is of course the hole in the middle of the noodle.
Are there somewhere macaroni holes? (I know they sell donut holes...)
Maybe I'll just get a pizza instead.

Here's an attempt at an ASCII picture of the gizmo that makes macaroni. I expect the parser will make it unidentifiable. Anyway, pretend this is a round hole in some sort of material. The little minus signs are thin bits supporting this solid round thing in the middle, and the outside edges of the whole thing extend out a bit. The pasta dough gets extruded through the whole thing, the nobby bit stops some of it and makes a hole, and the bit that sticks out presses it back into a circular shape. I hope that sort of helped. Come to think of it, just get a Play-Doh clay press. There's a bit in there that makes hollow tubes of clay and it works just like this.

P.S. Pretend those periods aren't there. If I don't put them in it'll squish it. It looks godawful anyways, I'm sure.

The parser's misplaced my periods and zapped and entire row of text from the picture. Er...pretend the periods aren't there. Then it sort of makes sense. Sorry about the horrid picture. I hope it manages to help at least a bit.
